Passport and Visa
A valid passport is required for non-EU citizens for entry into The netherlands and the EU. An identity card is sufficient for citizens of EU Member States. Please consult the Dutch Consulate nearest to you for special details.

Exhibition
An exhibition will be held during the conference. Coffee breaks will take place in this area and all delegates are cordially invited to visit the Trade Exhibition. Companies interested in taking part in the exhibition can contact the Conference Management.

Badge
All participants and exhibitors must wear the Congress identification badges. Entrance to meeting halls, labsessions and exhibition area will not be permitted to any person without badge.

Weather
The climate in Heerlen is generally moderate and mild with cloudy, wet winters and warm summers. Average summer temperatures range from 18 to 32° Celsius (65 to 90° Fahrenheit). The average winter temperature is around 0° Celsius (32° Fahrenheit).

Electricity
Voltage: 220/380 volts at a frequency of 50 Hertz. All sockets follow European standards. To use American-type plugs, a 220-volt transformer should be used together with an adapter plug.

Currency
The Dutch currency is EURO. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept international credit cards.
